Mary Luz Ramirez Valencia received this recognition from Polk County Public Schools!!! She was a student in the ESOL class at East Area Adult School and then became a secretary for the school. She was a God-send for our Spanish speaking students. She was able to have her transcripts from Columbia verified and completed all the steps to gain her FL teaching certificate. She taught part-time for 3 years and now she is teaching FULL TIME at East Area Adult School at Ridge Technical College in the daytime and still teaches her part-time class in Haines City. She’s an amazing role model for our immigrant students! Reach your GOAL! Congratulations!
