Ridge Technical Academy
Educational Alternative Program: Application Required
Ridge Technical Academy (RTA) will offer students age 16 and over an opportunity to learn in a smaller classroom environment to receive a standard diploma. Students in this target population may be unmotivated or unsuccessful (at-risk) in traditional high school or would like to receive a career certificate and an industry certification while earning their high school diploma. To enroll with RTA, students must currently be enrolled with their zoned high school or a district approved home education program. Parents should complete an application and consult with their child’s School Counselor prior to applying, then await admission approval from Ridge Technical Academy.
Eligibility Criteria
* Must be at least 16 years of age
* 11th and 12th grade
* 2.0 GPA
* *Should be on target with graduation cohort
* Have good attendance/discipline history
* Must be enrolled with your home high school or a district approved home education program prior to enrollment (copies of documentation required)
* Consult with home high School Counselor to ensure coursework meets graduation requirements
*At-Risk students will not be excluded from eligibility and are encouraged to apply.

Other Details:
Program tuition is FREE.
Uniforms must be purchased prior to starting classes.
Earn an Industry certification and career skills
College credit articulation to Tampa Bay area colleges (for completers)
