CAREER PATHWAYS

To facilitate and ease student transition from adult education to technical training and or employment. Career pathways are student centered approach to accelerate student learning while exploring career paths through our GEDi or ELCATE classes.

GEDi

The GED integrated preparation program is designed to help students go “further-faster” as they prepare for and obtain a GED diploma while simultaneously enroll in a technical training program at Ridge or Traviss Technical College. Some courses are also offered at East/West Area Adult.

ELCATE

The ELCATE program is designed to help students go “farther-faster” as they incorporate advanced language skills while simultaneously being enrolled in a technical training program at Ridge or Traviss Technical College. Some courses are also offered at East/West Area Adult.

CERTIFICATES

Certificate programs include Serve safe Food Handler, Safe Staff, Microsoft Office Specialist, Construction, HVAC, Electricity, Energy Technician, Welding.

ADULT HIGH SCHOOL

This program enables students without a diploma to make up high school credits using our online program. Students should present their transcripts, if available and speak with a counselor.

HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT RECOVERY

Students currently enrolled with a Polk County High School may enroll in a core subject course previously failed to make up credits.
